HAS recently undertook a project based in Wembley. The works which were undertaken over two weeks involved the removal of both licensed and non-licensed asbestos containing materials which were in various locations throughout the building. These materials including Asbestos Insulation Board (AIB) amongst others.
The works were being undertaken to the Wembley building are due to a refurbishment of the office block which required the removal of asbestos containing materials.
Prior to HAS’s arrival at the site, the areas had been soft stripped by our client and all isolations confirmed.
Asbestos Insulation Boards (AIB) were removed to wall panelling, as well as AIB panelling and AIB ceiling tiles. Non-Licensed asbestos materials which were removed during the project included asbestos vinyl floor tiles, asbestos flash guards and asbestos loose gaskets.
Works were carried out under fully and semi-controlled conditions depending on the classification type of the asbestos being removed. Licensed materials work was undertaken under fully controlled conditions. Site specific methodology and risk assessments were relayed on site to all members of staff involved on the project in accordance with our rigorous procedures.
Control measures such as enclosures, dust suppression, removal techniques and shadow vacuuming were utilised during the project alongside personal monitoring measures to demonstrate suitable control measures were in place to ensure safe working practices at all times, in accordance with HAS’s Health and Safety Policy.
Our client gave us a glowing reference for the project:
