HAS Support Charity Golf Event

HAS are very proud to be supporting the annual Friends of Herefordshire Alzheimer’s & Dementia Sufferers Golf Event.

The event held at Leominster Golf Course over two days on the 13th and 14th of September has been run since 2010.

Now in it’s eighth year, the event has raised over £138k for the worthwhile cause.

According to statistics from the Alzheimer’s Society in Herefordshire there are currently 3,807 people known to be living with Dementia and this figure will only rise as the population lives longer. The Alzheimer’s Society supports the families and individuals affected by the implications of Alzheimer’s and Dementia and some of their local services are funded by the income from charitable events such as this.

The charity offers various types of support including a Dementia Advisor Service, Singing for the Brain, Memory Cafes and Dementia friendly communities. By supporting the Alzheimer’s Society a difference can be made to thousands of families affected by Dementia.
