Hereford Library Asbestos Removal

After several weeks of closure the asbestos removal on Hereford Library is now under way. Back in September 2015 our sister company, EMS carried out a refurbishment asbestos survey on the Hereford Library to identify the presence of asbestos ahead of planned works. During the survey asbestos was identified above the fixed ceiling that was not previously identified. Due to the nature of the material, the decision was taken by Herefordshire Council to close the library, even though the element of risk was low.

Hereford Asbestos Services, Hereford’s only licensed asbestos removal company, have been commissioned to undertake the asbestos removal, which is scheduled to be completed in March.
